A Heartfelt Thank You from Beechwood
Beechwood has been a family-run business in Haddonfield , NJ since 1951. In 1979, three sisters, Marge McElroy, Sue Hagan and Francine Hutchinson took the reins with their mother, Marge Hutchinson. They continued as a traditional preschool, providing a warm, nurturing environment where young children could learn, grow and thrive. In addition, they extended their hours to better accommodate the needs of working parents.
After nearly 5 decades of wonderful memories, we have made the bittersweet decision to retire at the end of this school year, June 18, 2027.
Over the years, we have been blessed with the privilege of watching generations of children grow, forming lasting relationships with families, and working alongside so many dedicated teachers and staff who have helped shape Beechwood into the special place is today.
Although we will certainly miss our many families and co-workers, there are a few things we won’t miss quite as much: the backed up toilets, the annual head lice checks and those little unexpected repairs that always seem to pop up at the most inconvenient times!
It is difficult to put into words just how grateful we are to everyone who has played a part in making Beechwood what it is today. As we close this chapter, we do so with full hearts and countless cherished memories. We thank our school families for trusting us with their children and allowing us to be a part of their lives. It has truly been an honor and a privilege.
